Secretary-General, Calling Now a Time of Tremendous Tumult, Potential Promise, Asks Faith Community to Guide United Nations Mission for Peace

Following are UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moons remarks at the Church of the Holy Family Gaunt-Man Sl, today in New York:

We meet just one day after a solemn anniversary. Ten years ago yesterday, like many of you this on time, I was in New York when this city was attacked. At the time, rs gold for sale I was Chief of Staff to the incoming President of the United Nations General Assembly, Dr. Han Seung-Soo.

On that morning, we were together at a prayer breakfast. A Columbia University professor in his talk emphasized the importance of reconciliation. Ironically, the terrorists were at the very moment attacking the World Trade Center attacking the core values of the United Nations: peace, freedom Romney defends his comments about corporations, justice, reconciliation and human rights.

The General Assembly was not able to elect its President that day, leaving a leadership vacuum for the first time in the 56-year history of the United Nations. By 12 September rs money , the General Assembly elected its new President, Dr. Han Seung-Soo. There were many questions and almost no answers. But we were certain of one fact: the international community was united in solidarity with the victims and against the terrorists.

The city was shrouded in mourning. The United Nations itself was surrounded by a fortress of police and military. It was difficult to cross the street, let alone enter the building. But the palpable fear only added urgency to our mission. We knew we had to act. That same day,Hebian-To. the General Assembly met under extremely tight security. It adopted a strong resolution condemning the terrorist attacks and asking the international community to unite to fight terrorism. We all supported action against the perpetrators and any States helping them.

We stood shoulder to shoulder, as representatives of Governments from around the world, to denounce the merciless attackers who had destroyed so many lives and who were trying to destroy the sacred value of peace that the United Nations was created to uphold. The members of the Security Council, runescape gold buying meanwhile Montys Golde, rose to their feet when they voted to show their sombre but determined support for the resolution condemning the attacks.

Over the decade since 9/11, the power of religion and interfaith dialogue has helped the United Nations to counter extremism and hate. Imams and rabbis, priests and nuns, bishops and believers have all been an enormous force for progress. Our Alliance of Civilizations has brought together great thinkers from the worlds major religions to help counter hatred with dialogue and extremism with moderation.

In 2006, the United Nations adopted the first-ever Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy. We have been working hard to implement this Strategy ever since. We are pushing for States to adhere to a series of anti-terrorism treaties that the United Nations helped to draft. And we are standing with the victims of terrorism and working to make sure that their voices are heard in the global debate.

Our friends in the faith community have been central to this campaign. You have also helped in so many other areas where the United Nations is determined to advance the human condition: ending violence against women; promoting disarmament; fighting for justice and human rights; and advancing the cause of dignity and opportunity for all people.

I deeply appreciate your many contributions and, especially,PIC concerned about impatient youth. the profound perspective you bring to our work. I am grateful for your compassionate influence on so many people. I thank you for your activism world of warcraft gold , your wisdom and your prayers.

This is a time of tremendous tumult but also potential promise. Leaders from aroeve mission guidesund the world are right now preparing to travel to New York to meet at the United Nations. EVE Online Now Just One Fashionable Degree of Separation From Lady Gaga

What doLady Gaga and CCP Games, maker of massively multiplayer online role-playing game EVE Online,Ragnarok Acolyte Leveling Guide. have in common? Theyve both worked with fashion director Nicola Formichetti and his muse, the model with a full body corpse tattoo, rsgold Rick Genest.

Lets take a step back.

CCP has teamed up with Formeve onlineichetti to create a virtual catwalk show for New York Fashion Week, creating that digital space within the Carbon graphics engine used in EVE, as well as the upcoming DUST 514 and World of Darkness. I doubt, however, that its possible for a vindictive EVE Online clan to raid Formichettis outer space showroom.

Salvaging (Guide

Sometimes referred to as Corpse Robbers, Garbagemen, orWreck Divers.Salvagers clean up the mess left behind in the wake of battle, sifting through the flotsam and jetsam for those diamonds in the rough. These diamonds can then be used to buildrigs to be fit on other ships.Call it an act of recycling or the reprehensible desecration of a pilots tomb Book IX: Cha, either way salvaging is a lucrative and thriving industry.

An advanced mechanic skill,Salvaging allows you to fit and use the Salvager module you will need to recover ueve salvaging guideseful materials from the twisted corpses of dead ships.

Each level of this skill increases the chance of successful salvage by 5%, so the higher the skill level the better.

– Level 3 Salvage

In order to salvage, you will need to fit amodule onto your ship. ASalvager II offers a 2% better chance per Salvaging level (10% total)

to salvage than its Tech I counterpart.

There is no limit to how many salvage modules you can fit to your ship, other than the amount of high slots on your ship and the CPU and power output of your ship.

In order to salvage you need wrecks, which can be found almost anywhere.Any time a ship has been destroyed a wreck will be left behind.

Wrecks come in different sizes, depending on the type of ship, and have different amounts of materials in them.

The rule of thumb is that the bigger the ship,Hit what you. the more salvageable materials it will yield.

The amount of salvage and which components you receive are calculated based on percentages pre-defined into the wreck.

Once you are equipped and have located or created a wreck, Salvagers typically take the following steps:

On the overview wrecks in space will have a triangular icon pointing downwards. If the wreck has loot, rs gold for sale the triangle will be solid.

If no loot, they will be empty triangles. Approach to within 5 km of the wreck, target and lock it. and turn on the salvager.

Activate the Salvager module on your ship. It may take several module cycles to successfully salvage the wreck, so be patient.

Once successfully salvaged eve instas g, you will receive a message indicating a successful attempt and the module will deactivate. The salvaged material

will automatically be transferred to your cargo hold if you have sufficient hold space. You can then proceed to another wreck.

Salvaging a wreck that contains loot will not destroy the loot. It will reappear in space inside a disposable container for you to pick-up when you get within 2500m.

If that is the case, the wreck will disappear after the salvage attempt and will give a message stating there was nothing to salvage. If the salvage cycle ends

and the wreck is still there eve factions, you can continue to attempt to salvage until either the wreck disappears unsalvageable or until something of value is found.

Thus, a Guristas ship will drop shield and missile materials mabinogi dungeon boss, while Sansha will drop laser and armor components. All factions and races will drop circuits.

Using aSalvager I, and minimum skills, your base Access Difficulty Bonus is 5% (Salvager I @ 5%Salvaging Level I).

The following methods are available to improve that.

Using aDestroyer with 400 calibration points as an example, you can attain the following Access Difficulty Bonus with full gear and skills.

Pretty much any ship can be used for salvaging. For the solo pilot, his ship needs to tank any enemies and be able to destroy them

(to make your own salvaging opportunities). Make sure to leave a high slot available for the salvager module.

A decent cargo bay may also an important consideration. Although salvage parts dont take up a lot of room, if youre also going to loot the wrecks to reprocess

for minerals, cargo space can fill up quickly. Fitting expanded cargohold IIs in low slots can be a big help with maximizing cargo space. Beware wow gold cheap , if the wreckyou are looting is not your own, the player who created the wrecks will be able to attack you. You will be flagged as globally criminal.

Wrecks can often be far flung across an area. Fitting an afterburner and a tractor beam can speed up the travel time and get you salvaging wrecks much faster.

This is especially helpful when in dangerous zones when time is of the essence before hostiles notice you are nearby. If the wrecks are not your ownor your corporations, then you will not be able to use a tractor beam on them.

The moreSalvager I andSmall Tractor Beam I modules you use the faster salvaging goes.

If you or your (player)corporation created the wrecks (they will show white in the overview), you can use aSmall Tractor Beam I to pull wrecks to you.

Abandoned or Blue wrecks can also haveSmall Tractor Beam I use on them to pull them closer. However if the wreck does not belong to your corpor alliance they will be yellow and are immune toSmall Tractor Beam I.

Small Tractor Beam I modules can be fitted to high-slots to pull the wrecks into range from up to 20,000m away, so fitting a tractor beam (or several) canbring wrecks close and reduce your salvaging time overall. Although you can use multiple salvagers on a single wreck you can only use one tractor on each wreck.

A good ship to use for salvaging is a Destroyer class ship. Destroyers have many high slots, meaning you can fit several salvage modules and tractor beams. You can also fit a combination of turrets eve frigates, salvagers and tractor beams to create, pull & salvage wrecks. Others swear by specifically salvage-fitted ships, looking for large cargo space and lots of high slots to mount the tractor beams and salvagers.

People looting and salvaging others wrecks should look for a ship with a good cargohold, but also high speed and agility to make up for the inability to useSmall Tractor Beam Is

CONCORD allows the salvaging of other players wrecks. Salvaging does not trigger an aggression countdown or a criminal flag.

You dont need to create the wrecks yourself to salvage them. You can salvage behind other players after, or even while theyre fighting. Large wreck fields can be found insidemissions anddeadspace complexes. Also, player battles in lowsec space can leave behind a lot of player wrecks, rs money which can be salvaged.

Tech II player ships are likely to dropTech II salvage components. While these salvage components are extremely rare, the rigs they make are considerably more efficient than their Tech I counterparts; therefore, they are worth the extra salvage effort. NPC Officers, NPC Commanders and somerogue drones also dropTech II salvage materials.

Wrecks can also be found in asteroid belts, at gates, or anywhere where a recent battle between players has occurred. You can use themap to find where player ships have been destroyed recently.Faction warfare areas are also a good place to look.

No one said you have to ask permission, either. It is much more dangerous, but you can lurk outside an engagement, then sneak in and salvage while the battle is going on. The combatants should be far too busy to mess with a ninja salvager. In faction war space, being neutral allows you to ninja-salvage with relative safety, as to engage you will trigger a global criminal flag for the aggressor.

For quick cash early in the salvaging career, its best to fit a ship so you can take onrogue drones. When their wrecks are salvaged, you may get a highly valuable Alloyed Tritanium Bar which can be worth aas much as 250,000 ISK per unit.

Criminal justice expert Ed Latessa spoke to lawmakers and criminal justice stakeholders at a Capitol meeting Wednesday.

The most effective way to prevent incarcerated criminals from reoffending is through programs focusing on changing behaviors, a national expert on criminal justice reform said Wednesday.

Taking drug offenders and educating them about drugs, its really a dumb idea when you think about it.

Ed Latessa,

Ed Latessa, director of the School of Criminal Justice at theUniversity of Cincinnati, said most research shows punishment alone doesnt reduce recidivism, and not all programs designed to help are useful, either.

They arent one-size-fits-all programs,July 2011. buy cheap wow gold and include cognitive behavioral approaches and teaching new behaviors.

The event was presented byHouse Speaker Kris Steele, R-Shawnee September 13, 2011, and TheCouncil of State Governments as a part of The Justice Reinvestment Initiative. The initiative is a process for state leaders and criminal justice professionals to analyzeOklahomas criminal justice system data and identify strategies to reduce costs and increase public safety.

Focusing on now

The most effective interventions are behavioral … that focus on current problems, not the past Main Quest, Latessa said. We cant change the past.

Effective programs attack risk factors for recidivism such as pro-criminal or anti-social attitudes, values and beliefs that have them reject authority, convention and the value of others.

Emotional states like rage, anger, defiance and criminal identity are also risk factors.

Taking drug offenders and educating them about drugs buy runescape gold cheap , its really a dumb idea when you think about it, he said. Talk therapy … getting them in a circle and asking them about what they want to talk about isnt effective in changing their behavior either.

Latessa said offenders who are impulsive, pleasure seeking and who lack positive social influences need to be taught how to manage this.

Criminal and psychological problems tracing back to offenders families can also put them at a higher risk for returning to jail. So can low education or financial achievement.

Substance abuse and mental illness also can increase the likelihood a person will return to jail. Neither can be treated alone because there are typically other risk factors that run with them.

If you toss a drug addict back on the street, types of org. hes going to return to his old life and friends and will likely start reusing, Latessa said. They must have positive social interaction icriminal justicen their lives and learn behaviorally how to cope with these risks.

Evaluating risk

Its not a simple task to assess these factors, Latessa said. Its important to target those with the highest likelihood of recidivism and provide them the most intensive treatment. Lobbing low-risk offenders in with high risk ones can actually increase recidivism rates.

Good programs teach offenders new ways to behave and new skills that allow them to be successful outside of prison.

Oklahoma Corrections Department DirectorJustin Jones said legislators are doing the right thing listening to experts, analyzing data and looking for ways to reform the packed and expensive state corrections system.

Often, wow gold cheap research on criminal justice research and reform is contentious because of politics and emotion, Jones said. Hes hopeful key stakeholders will look at the empirical data and make decisions based on that.

The timing is right for this, he said. The judiciary is at the table, the district attorneys are at the table, and Im excited the leadership at the Capitol has decided to take this on.

Martyn Kendrick with statue Hamilton, September 13, 2011 – Martyn Kendrick recently finished restoring the justice statue on the second floor of Vasco da Gama Hall on James Street North.

Orange/Vasco da Gama Hall

Address: 175-177 James St. N.

Built in: 1905 at a cost of $20,000 as the Loyal Orange Men’s Society Hall, a social club for Irish-Canadian protestants.

After 1969: The building became the Vasco da Gama Futebol Clube, a Portuguese-Canadian social club.

Architectural notes: As well as the Lady of Justice statue, the building has a huge medallion featuring William of Orange celebrating the victory of the Battle of the Boyne, fought in 1690 between the Catholic King James and Protestant King William.

Built by: Architect William Palmer Witton (1871-1947) eve mining b, who also designed many other prominent Hamilton buildings such as the James Street Armouries, runescape shop The Herkimer Apartments,July 2011. the Central Fire Hall on John Street as well as Earl Kitchener School on Dundurn Street.

History: As the influx of immigrants changed from British to Italians to Portuguese, so too did the ownership of the Orange Hall and other major buildings on James.

She may have been a goddess Titles to look for on marquees in the fall, but you wouldn’t have known it to look at her.

For years, high above the Vasco da Gama club sign on James Street North, Themis, the Roman Lady of Justice,← Older posts. stood covered in pigeon poop, missing part of an arm and nearly all of her sword. She used to carry scales of justice until they blew off one day in the wind.

But the final indignity happened earlier this summer when someone from the Portuguese club, for inexplicable reasons wow gold cheap , put a garbage bag over her.

Well, sculptor Martyn Kendrick couldn’t take it any longer. He loves classical statues and has a fondness for architectural gems on James North. So he walked into the social club and offered his services to restore Themis once and for all. It was time to give Lady Justice a little, well, justice.

They didn’t have much money, says Kendrick, who works at Gallery 205 on Cannon Street. But about a month later the club agreed to go ahead with project, paying Kendrick a small fee that he says worked out to be about minimum wage.

Kendrick borrowed scaffolding from a friend and went to work. He thoroughly cleaned the cement statue. He sculpted a hand, and put a sword in it. Luckily, rsgold someone from the Portuguese club kept the copper scales of justice after they fell off.

Kendrick repaired the scales and attached them to Themis’s other hand. After that he painted several layers of bronze coating to make the statue look like it did when the building opened a century ago as an Orange Hall. That lasted for more than 65 years until the building changed hands to become the Vasco da Gama club, a focal point for a growing Portuguese community that was immigrating to Hamilton.

Kendrick had been an enthusiastic supporter of the artistic revival of James Street for years and says the dilapidated statue had alwayslady justice been a sore spot with him.

I’d often sit at the Tribal Gallery across the street and say, ‘Wow Blackrabbit2999s Translation Omnibus 2, look at that. It would be so beautiful if it was restored.’

The day he went over to the club, he asked, Why do you have a garbage bag over the statue?

But they couldn’t explain.

I guess they had their reason. But it was difficult to communicate with them.

Vasco da Gama manager Joe DaCosta could not be reached for comment. An employee said the garbage bag was hung up for political reasons but wouldn’t elaborate.

Graham Crawford, the owner of the HIStory and HERitage Museum just down the street,I. Am. Canadian. says he thinks the restored statue looks great.

I’m thrilled they did it. And I am thrilled they hired a genuine artist to do it, he says.

Kendrick says he has a little more work to do on one of the statue’s hands and he wants to add more protective coating.

I’m really, really pleased with how it turned out. I look up and I say that the effort was worth it. I think it is going to be around for a long time, he says.

In all, he figures he put in more than 40 hours of work. He says it was quite an experience: Portuguese guys would come. They would point at me and shout up in Portuguese … people would honk their horns. It was like a street performance.

Solyndra Loan: Now Treasury

The Treasury Departments inspector general has opened a new front in the investigation of the government loan to Solyndra, the now bankrupt company that had been touted as a model of President Obamas ambitious green energy program Mabinogi Pet,Edit My Profile. ABC News and the Center for Public Integrity/iWatch News have learned.

The new probe involves the $535 million loan, arranged by the Energy Department,August 2011. but actually processed by the Federal Financing Bank, a government lending institution that falls under Treasurys control. Already, the FBI and the Energy Departments inspector general have executed search warrants at Solyndras headquarters and questioned company executives.

Were going to look at everything the FFB had to do with its role in this thing, buying runescape money Rich Delmar, a spokesman for the Treasury Departments inspector general, told ABC News and iWatch News.

Earlier this month Morphing Pet Preview, iWatch News and ABC News disclosed that Solyndra received a rock-bottom interest rate of 1 to 2 percent — lower than those affixed to other Energy Department green energy projects. The low rate was set even as an outside agency, Fitch Rating, eve attribut. scored Solyndra as a B+ — speculative — investment. Energy Department officials said the bank set the rate, based on formulas including the payout length, and that Solyndra did not receive special treatment.

Word of the broadening probe came as the head of the Energy Departments loan program came before Congress at a contentious hearing on Capitol Hill Wednesday.

After spending months touting the Obama administrations decision to loan $535 million toSolyndra buy cheap runescape gold , top officials took a new tack Wednesday while testifying about the companys abrupt shut-down and bankruptcy: the loan, they said, was actually the Bush administrations idea.

The Energy Departments top lending officer told Congress that theSolyndra loan application was not only filed during President Bushs term, mabinogi map. but it surged towards completion before Obama took office in January 2009.

By the time the Obama administration took office in late January 2009, the loan programs staff had already established a goal of, and timeline for, cheapest wow gold issuing the company a conditional loan guarantee commitment in March 2009, said Jonathan Silver, who heads the Energy loan program.

Even after the loan was restructured in 2011, the Energy Department and other administration officials continued to tout Solyndras prospects.

In May, Silver told ABC News and iWatch News that questions about the loan guarantee were unfounded, and that Solyndras canceled public offering and restructuring were hiccups that are typical for start-up companies.

I have never seen a company go straight up without a bump along the way, Silver said. I have no doubt they will continue to hire more people.

Family quickly told cops of IHOP shooters illness

&160;&8212; Newly released court documents indicate that the man who went on a deadly rampage with an AK-47 at a Nevada pancake restaurant last week had been diagnosed as a schizophrenic.

Douglas County sheriffs Sgt. The information about the mans mental state came to light as investigators sought search warrants for Sencions two vehicles and the homes of his parents and brother in the chaotic hours after the shooting spree.

Games Inbox: Rebooting XCOM, Raging against Rage, and the 3DS long haul

Today’s Inbox is still unconvinced about the future of Nintendo, as one reader questions the morality of Gears Of War’s COG soldiers. To add your own comments to the Inbox email us atgamecentral@ukmetro.co.uk.

RE: PC1975 – A friend of mine has Fight Night for the Xbox 360, which requires that he signs in to EAs online servers to get to the first menu each time he logs in. So, maybe Rage is not the first game to require an online pass for single-player content. It is still outrageous, though.

RE: Syndicate. I cant help but feel a great deal of remorse at both this and the upcoming X-COM game. I remember playing the originals on the Amiga 500 about 17 years ago, but the main thing I remember about them is the gameplay June 2011, not the story. In fact, I can barely remember the story at all.

To me, the gameplay was the identity of the games, with them almost becoming genres by themselves. So when a company announces a remake/reboot, but in a completely different genre, it just doesnt feel right. No matter how good the games actually are, slapping the names of X-COM and Syndicate on them just seems wrong, as they wont have the same identity. It comes off as nothing other than shallow and misguided marketing.

RE: PC1975. Don’t worry, I have a feeling Rage is going to tank anyway. Not just because of the online pass required for some of the single-player content, which is outrageous (if you bought a Ford Focus second-hand,RIFT 1.4 Hotfix #5. you wouldnt expect to have to give Ford some money too). I won’t be buying it on principle, even though I buy new anyway, but also the fact it’s coming out in the games rush and the game is painfully generic looking.

RE: Up4Banter. I totally agree with you about Dead Island. Yes it has some bugs that need addressing, cheap wow gold but Im finding the game a hell of a lot of fun. Great gameplay, good graphics and superb combat. It’s the game that does the Iconic zombie justice more than any other in my

opinion. My ideal and definitive zombie game. Does what it says on the tin as far as Im concerned. The controls seem perfectly fine to me (after I moved the Dead Zone bar one notch to the left).

RE: theKeats99. Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warrior on the PlayStation 2 portrayed the Space Marines quite negatively, painting them as dogmatic xenophobes. It featured a few levels where the alien protagonist had to fight against them. I would argue that although the Adeptus Astartes are authoritarian religious zealots, Marcus Fenix and the COGs in Gears Of War are much more akin to fascists than Titus and co.

I paid more for my 3DS than any other console I own. So far it has proved to be the biggest let down (I own only one 3DS game). I think it understandable that so called ‘Ambassadors’, such as myself felt let down upon becoming aware of the slider peripheral. I don‘t think it can be compared to the launch of a slim-line model of a console as they offer essentially the same hardware, but in a sleeker package.

We were told that lessons learned from the design of the DS Lite meant that future redesigns of the 3DS were less likely, which of course I did take with a pinch of salt. But at most I expected a future model to offer better resolution screens/cameras and perhaps improve upon the batter life.

It is not just that the peripheral is ugly (as one post stated), but that it represents such an inelegant design solution and looks to greatly hamper the portability of the console (mine fits nicely in my jacket pocket).

From my point of view it is also not comparable to the likes of adding Kinect functionality, quotes on ju. as Kinect is there to offer a different way to experience games and adding the extra slider adds the much needed ability to adjust the camera whilst controlling a character through 3D space (likely given the power of the 3DS), so for many games (third person adventures, first person shooters) could prove useful/essential.

It would be interesting to know exactly when Nintendo determined it necessary to design it. If it is the result of developer pressure then it should have been implemented into the initial design.

I just don’t like the idea of spending any more money on the console itself, not after paying so much to start with (around £174).

Ive had a 3DS for about four wespace games onlineeks, having bought one a few days before the price drop (I got a great price – £120 – and still got the Ambassador games.) The only reason I got one was that I needed a portable console for my commute, having sold my faithful old PSP to fund a Vita, and then the Vita was delayed until next year. So Ive been reading the comments over the last week or so with amusement as I never had any intention of committing to the 3DS for more than three or four months.

Well, Ive just been playing Zelda: Ocarina Of Time 3D so far, having never played it, and I love it – great game, wouldnt have guessed it was 15 years old if I was an ill-informed gamer. The graphics are better than the PSP cheapest runescape gold , and Im obviously used to a single analogue stick, so controls are fine too. Ive picked up a copy of Ridge Racer 3D for a tenner, but after that, I guess Ill try the back catalogue of DS games – Ive never played a DS, so lots to try.

My criticisms of the console would be mainly two-fold: the battery life – as I like to continue my games sessions seamlessly, I just put the console into sleep mode (or whatever its called) by shutting the lid. Unfortunately, this only allows about 2 -2.5 hours play per day, so I have to charge it up every night. PSP used to charge twice a week!

Other criticism: the 3D. While it was fairly impressive initially, I’ve found the whole thing rather underwhelming. Once youre engrossed in Ocarina Of Time, at least, it makes no difference. Indeed, more than once Ive started a session and played for a while without noticing the 3D slider was off from being in my bag! Also, the viewing angle is very narrow Dyersburg State Gazette, so playing on a train can be annoying when your hands jog around a bit. Also the built-in games (Face Raiders, AR) were rubbish.

So in summary, I feel like I should be negative about the console – 3D effect underwhelming, bad battery life, and only two games (for now). However, world of warcraft easy gold Im loving Ocarina, it looks great, and I hope to play a few more games on the current best handheld console before the year is out. With a bit of luck, Ill make most of my money back on it at the end of the year, and Ill be very happy with that. If I was in this for the long haul, I think exercising a bit of patience would pay off – a Nintendo console with no long term decent games? Ridiculous!

PS: Just completed the Water Temple in Ocarina. As I said, Ive never played the game before, but I was dreading this dungeon based on comments people have made about its difficulty over the years. But I thoroughly enjoyed it, and didnt get stuck at all. I read the level was made a bit easier for the 3DS – was this significantly so?

It was the touchscreen inventory that made it easier more than anything else.

Hello again. I would like to apologise if I came across as very pro Nintendo. That is not so, let me just say I am pro GameCentral. I agree that Nintendo have acted shamefully regarding the new peripheral, but let’s be honest – we could fill a weekend Hot Topic about Nintendos peripherals that where then woefully under supported. Looking at their game line-up it seems that the current 3DS is safe for now.

I am just saying that GC normally filter this stuff well and allow us to discuss more important topics like ladders and manual sniffing (paid up member of Manualholics Anonymous). Direct your vitriol at Nintendo, with their shares dropping and below expected sales they may just listen. And remember, getting something straight away will be a risk. Whether it’s a game, a piece of technology, a car or even a house.

We filter out aggressive, nonsensical or trollish comments but that’s all. The recent Nintendo letters all had a genuine and well-articulated grievance.

I think somebody mentioned on Inbox last week that the GAME website had Deus Ex: Human Revolution for about £30, which is great for a relatively new game. I really wanted it,Konschtat Hi. but was resisting getting it now to save some money and clear my backlog, thinking Ill get it when the price goes down.

However I went on the GAME site last Saturday and it was only £24.99 on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and I couldnt resist snapping it up, my reasoning being that it would take a long time to be that low a price anywhere else. Being a bit wary rs gold for sale , I checked GAME again on Sunday and it was priced at £27.99. Strange.

Basically this is a bargain alert – Deus Ex: Human Revolution is only £27.99 online at GAME on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. I managed to get it £3 cheaper than this, but it wasnt that price long enough to let anyone know.

Hey GC, I know Nintendo Europe has shown some sense at releasing certain titles in Europe like Xenoblade Chronicles and Freshly-Picked Tingles Rosy Rupeeland, Last Window and Another Code R to name a few.

I liked Chibi-Robo! on the GameCube and on the DS and I wished that Captain Rainbow would get released in Europe, I know everyone doesn’t like Tingle that much but I would like to have the opportunity to play Tingles Balloon Trip Of Love

Really hope you could pry some information from Nintendo.

Add me!

It’s very unlikely for those two titles, which are especially odd even by Japanese standards. Maybe if Freshly-Picked Tingles Rosy Rupeeland had been a bigger success in Europe, but it wasn’t.

RE: Anththeman2010. I also have a Panasonic plasma TV. With regard to avoiding screen burn do not use the dynamic picture setting for gaming. The contrast is very high so there is a chance of brighter images being burned into the screen and it also reduces detail in dark and bright images leading to inferior visuals.

I use the game picture setting for gaming, with the brightness turned up a bit which looks great and doesn’t cause any screen burn. I would also advise turning both the automatic brightness adjustment and 16:9 overscan off, check the instruction manual to find out how. And in my opinion, if you can afford it, the PlayStation 3 is a must for 3D gaming because it has a good selection of high quality 3D exclusives.

RE: Paul Davidson. Whilst I dont condone the sale of age-restricted games or alcohol to youths you are wrong in your example. I can go into an off licence and buy a bottle of whisky with my 10 year old and still be served legally. If there was any indication that the alcohol was for the child then thats when it starts to become an offence.

But I am assuming the woman in your story admitted the game was for her child and therefore the member of staff could, and indeed should, have refused to sell it to her. If you feel that strongly about it go back to the store and make a complaint to the manager and if that doesnt work contact the local trading standards through the council and they may do test purchases to see if it was a one off or regular occurrence.

Well thats my 3DS sold, £160 with two games. Goodbye Nintendo Insurance Salesman, wont be seeing you anytime soon. Anyone playing the brilliant Dead Island on Xbox please add me for co-op.

I dont know about extra Slide Pads, etc… I just want Nintendo to announce a region free 3DS!

While Im pleased to see a new Mario Tennis coming out,Medicated St. am I the only one disappointed to see the series skipping the Wii – surely the system most perfectly designed to accommodate it (especially since the Wii MotionPlus upgrade)?

Is a triple AAA title a really, really amazing big budget game? As by my calculations thats an AAAAAAAAA title and far too many As to be healthy.

The Hot Topic this week was suggested by reader PC1975 (gamertag)/

PC1975PC (PSN ID), who asks what single game you have been most visually impressed by this generation.

That doesn’t necessarily mean the most technically complex or realistic but simply the game that has dropped your jaw the lowest in terms of how it looks. It could be a game with great art design, production design, enormous scale or amazing graphical effects you’ve never seen before.

We also want to know how important you think graphics are to a game and how much influence they have on what you play and buy. Is the game you’ve named as good to play as it is to look at and if not do the visuals fully compensate for the rest of it?
